Our system will have all the latest technology to help sort, dry, clean up and shred mixed waste plastic that would normally end up in landfills, be incinerated or exported overseas. We will provide a mix of material ready product for the Chemical Process that recycles plastic waste into Plaxx a valuable hydrocarbon products such as Oils and wax. The first system will be installed in Scotland and will be operational in early 2020.

In a world where 8 million tonnes of plastic waste enter our oceans every year, Recycling Technologies has developed a machine to recycle waste plastic back into oil – even plastics currently considered unrecyclable like crisp packets, films, black plastic and mixed residual streams.

Recycling Technologies Ltd are dedicated to finding alternative uses for waste plastic across the globe, returning recyclable plastic waste into feedstock for new plastic production. Their technology helps divert plastic waste away from landfill, incineration and leaking into our environment.

The input material will be taken from a range of different industries and will help them better understand the different polymer types coming from different sectors. KME Ltd will supply RT with a line that has an infeed conveyor, with the option to incorporate an overband magnet in the future.

This conveyor will feed a 1.4m wide Tomra optical sorting unit with conveyor and hood. The plant has been uniquely designed so it can be easily transported if required and placed on any dedicated site for long periods of product testing.
